Bevel Markers
Typically positioned at the head of the grave, a bevel memorial encounters a unique challenge – limited space. To address this, we have meticulously designed a range of options tailored for smaller spaces. These bevel memorials commonly feature an individual’s name(s), significant dates (birth, passing, marriage), and designs personalized to the individual or their family.
Bevel markers are generally 6″ in the back of the marker and drop to 4″ in the front of the marker. These markers will be placed on a cement foundation and will sit above ground. There are a variety of colors to choose from. Feel free to click on any of the images below for a larger view.
Flat Markers
As the name states, Flush-in-the-Ground markers lie flush with the ground instead of protruding the ground like an Upright or Slant memorial. Traditionally, markers were positioned at the “foot” of the grave. However, evolving burial practices, such as cremation and the permission for multiple burials in a single traditional grave space, have led to a shift in traditions. Many individuals now opt to share a resting place with parents, spouses, or siblings. Consequently, the placement of the memorial is no longer confined to a specific location, emphasizing the importance of effective communication among family members, cemetery committees, and monument companies to prevent any misplacement.
Flat markers, traditionally used for sharing individual information with a family upright monument, are now used in many cemeteries for easing caretaker duties as well as the traditional use.
